on a galaxy far, far away i discovered prime suspect-& homicide detective that was a Woman-in the infancy of my feminism. yep. i was or maybe a better statement Is. i may not walk around femi-nazi hating every, breathing, walking male (in fact most of my friends are Men.)

gloria steinem made an appearance, a few feminist classes, too many long island ice tea's, bad pick up lines still surfacing on "ugly betty" & blue eyeliner bars overFlowing in stella artois. when smoking was still permitted. i was invited to nachtspiel, plum wine in darkened sushi restaurants, raging invitation only after hours.

i learned the word player @ my friends restaurant & over a glass of water the next morning. helen mirren's intensity, brutal honesty & loneliness as a homicide detective pulled me in; traffic the bbc version showed up on pbs. my agatha christie phase of formula mysteries & no cable @ theheight of real MTv before "super sweet 16" & pre-carson daly. U2 joshua tree was everywhere& mixing tapes for my walkman was kewl. i discovered prime suspect was the Only Good thing on besides "northern exposure." the final episode of prime suspect ended the way the others have open, it's an end of an era.

my city has a world famous library, where tourists come in snapping pictures, taking tours-making international headlines. now onto: the olympic sculpture park-a monumental tax write off & huge embarrassment. it's an outdoor park with a money shot view of the sound & the needle-a pre-opening before the Seattle Art Museum opens later this year. i was thrilled to see outdoor sculpture thinking with the amount of space & the park would be people friendly.

Wrong.

this wide beautiful rusted sculpture greets anyone who enters with a Do Not Touch signs saying the sculpture's are sensitive that's Right. in the land of acid rain, these sculptures are Sensitive. tagging happens-common sense solution make a protective covering for the sculptures to avoid scratches & tagging, make them safe for small hands.

global warming is sheek, uber-kewl & so now. where has the administration been since 1989? playing with cigars & ignoring the kyoto protocol? (pretending it doesn't exist cause if they do it'd go away). convenient for an administration with connections to nigeria: see halliburton & $140million

paid off to terrorists!! now we have icebergs predictably melting, predictable storms, snow in the wrong places, predictable flooding in europe. where was the administration? condemning kyoto saying it was Hot Air obviously from a village in texas missing an idiot.

than there was that little problem between tech geeks & microsoft: those pesky acer laptops they are handing out like candy to bloggers discussing the obvious flaws in its operating system. before i forget.....
